Program overview

The Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology offers a unique opportunity for students to display ingenuity and innovation. It is a program that educates and enables the students to develop inquiring minds and curiosity about science and the natural world. It also helps the students to develop skills of scientific inquiry to carryout scientific investigations and evaluate scientific evidence to draw conclusion and encouraging them to make carrier in biosciences industry. The Biotechnology Department, EMEA with qualified faculty including Ph.D.’s, is perfectly poised to offer students an opportunity to develop expertise and succeed in building a career in the exciting areas of Biotechnology and related fields. With a lively academic environment and a unique approach to learning that involves thought-provoking discussions and constant interaction among students and faculty, the Department of Biotechnology provides an ideal setting for versatile development of students to achieve the goal of becoming well-trained in all aspects of Biotechnology and related fields.

Program structure

To complete the degree, students must accumulate 117 credit hours during the three years of the program. The theoretical and practical knowledge acquired by the student during the first five semesters is perfected through an intensive dissertation work during the final semester of the course. The major subjects offered in the last two semesters will help the students to make their selection for their higher studies.
