Programme overview

B.Voc. in Accounting and Taxation enables the students in gaining an overview of the Indian tax regime, fundamentals and principles of accounting, taxation, VAT system, calculation of GST and its various brackets. The course lays a strong foundation for candidates to become qualified in the field. Students who wish to pursue the programme should have an inclination towards commerce and accounting skills. They should have the ability to analyze data, make calculations and have basic understanding of GST and latest taxation laws. They are expected to have a good grasp on the foundations of commerce which will help them in understanding and mastering the advanced principles of the subject.

Entry Requirements

Students who have completed their plus two with the required aggregate scores are eligible to enroll for B.Voc. in Accounting and Taxation.

Programme Structure

The B. Voc Programme is designed to bridge the potential skill gap that has been identified. The curriculum in each of the years of the programme would be a suitable mix of general education and skill development components. The general education component gives emphasis to Communication skill, Presentation skill, Health and Safety, Industrial Psychology, Environmental awareness, Entrepreneurship development and other relevant subjects in the field.

The skill development component of the programme gives emphasis to different Taxation, TDS return filing, Types of Accounting, Quantitative Techniques, and Marketing. As an added advantage, the programme offers bank coaching for aspiring candidates.
