Butterfly Haven – Creating a Home for Pollinators

The Bhoomithrasena Club of EMEA College of Arts and Science, Kondotty, successfully organized "Butterfly Haven – Creating a Home for Pollinators" on 23 June 2026 as part of its ongoing commitment to environmental conservation and biodiversity protection.

The initiative focused on creating a butterfly-friendly habitat on the college campus by planting nectar-rich flowering plants and host species that support the life cycle of butterflies and other pollinators. The programme aimed to raise awareness among students about the vital role of pollinators in maintaining ecological balance and ensuring food security.

Students and faculty members enthusiastically participated in the planting activity, learning about sustainable gardening practices and the importance of preserving natural habitats. The event encouraged participants to take an active role in protecting biodiversity and fostering a greener campus environment.

Through this initiative, the Bhoomithrasena Club reinforced the message "Plant Today, Protect Tomorrow," inspiring students to become responsible environmental stewards and contribute towards a healthier and more sustainable future.

The programme concluded with a pledge by participants to continue supporting biodiversity conservation through eco-friendly practices and environmental awareness initiatives
