Beyond Graduation – GATE JAM 2026 Outreach Programme

The Department of Biochemistry, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), EMEA College of Arts and Science, Kondotty, organized an insightful session titled “Beyond Graduation – GATE JAM 2026 Outreach Programme” on 7th October 2025 at 11:00 AM in the AVT Hall.
The session aimed to guide undergraduate students towards higher education opportunities and research prospects through national-level competitive exams such as GATE and JAM.
The resource person, Ms. Meenu M, from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, shared her valuable experiences and provided detailed guidance on exam preparation strategies, subject selection, time management, and career paths in research and academia.
The interactive session motivated students to think beyond conventional career options and to explore the vast opportunities available in scientific research and higher education. The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session, where students clarified their doubts regarding the GATE and JAM exams.
The session was well-received and proved to be a great inspiration for aspiring postgraduate and research students from the Biochemistry Department.
