India Quiz Competition Held in Connection with Independence Day

The PG Department of Commerce, EMEA College of Arts & Science, Kondotty, organised an engaging India Quiz Competition as part of the Independence Day celebrations on 14 August 2026 at the B.Com Cooperation venue.

The quiz was conducted with the theme “Independence Day of India”, aiming to enhance students’ knowledge and awareness of India’s rich history, freedom struggle, Constitution, culture and national heritage. The competition provided an enthusiastic platform for students to test their knowledge while celebrating the spirit of freedom and patriotism.

Students participated enthusiastically in both individual and team categories, demonstrating their knowledge, confidence and competitive spirit. The competition also encouraged students to learn more about India’s remarkable journey towards independence and its diverse cultural heritage.

The 1st Prize of ₹300 was awarded to the winner, while the 2nd Prize of ₹200 was awarded to the runner-up. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Amla KK, with Muhammed Shafaf and Muhammed Zidan serving as the student coordinators.

The event successfully combined learning with the spirit of Independence Day, encouraging students to honour the sacrifices of the past, appreciate the values of freedom and contribute towards building a better tomorrow.
