Economics Association Inauguration 2018-2019

The Research Department of Economics organised inaugural ceremony of Economics Association of the academic year 2019-20. The ceremony was conducted on 17th October 2019 at College Audio Visual Theatre and the programme was started by 10.00 AM. The programme was started with prayer. Mr Mohammed Jaseem, Economics Association Secretary delivered welcome address for the gathering. The programme was presided over by Mohammed Najeeb, Head, Research Department of Economics. Dr Sanathanan Velluva, Head, Research Department of Economics, St Joseph’s College, Devagiri, Kozhikode, inaugurated the function. All the teachers of the department and College Union Chairman, Mr Sofvan E K, delivered felicitation for the programme. The inaugural session ended by 11.15 AM and dispersed for a tea break.
After the tea break, Dr Sanathanan Velluva handled a technical session on ‘Life Plan: Career Enrichment Programme’. This interactive session covered various areas like success, life planning, exam preparation, general outlook, higher studies, competitive examination preparation and so on. The session was highly useful for the students and got a wonderful feedback also. Mr Mohammed Anees, fifth semester Economics student, delivered vote of thanks for the programme.
