From Biases to Balance: Rethinking Gender Constructs
October 30, 2025The Department of Mathematics and Physics, EMEA College of Arts and Science, Kondotty, organized an insightful talk titled “From Biases to Balance: Rethinking Gender Constructs” on 14th October 2025 (Tuesday) at 2:30 PM.
The session aimed to create awareness about gender perceptions and to encourage students to critically examine the societal norms and stereotypes associated with gender.
The talk was delivered by Ms. Hajara P, Assistant Professor, Department of English, who shed light on how ingrained biases influence individual and collective thinking. She emphasized the need to challenge these constructs to achieve equality and inclusivity in both academic and social contexts.
The session inspired students to adopt a balanced perspective on gender issues, fostering empathy, understanding, and mutual respect among peers.
