The PG Department of Microbiology at EMEA College of Arts & Science, Kondotty, hosted an interactive career seminar titled "Microbiology Careers: From Challenges to Opportunities" on Friday, August 14, 2026. The program aimed to guide students on emerging career pathways within specialized sectors, specifically highlighting Food and Aquatic Microbiology through alumni expertise.
Session 1: Food Microbiology
- Session 2: Aquatic Microbiology
- Speaker: Meherban Nizar (Alumna, 2007–09 Batch)
- Designation: Academic Coordinator, Institute of Water and Environmental Research (IWER), Cochin & Kottakkal
- Focus: Pathways in environmental research, water quality testing, aquatic ecosystem preservation, and academic/research roles in environmental institutions.
The session concluded with an open Q&A where students interacted directly with the speakers, gaining actionable career advice and industry exposure to navigate the post-graduation landscape effectively.
