Anti Drug Awareness Class Conducted at EMEA College

The National Service Scheme (NSS) and Anti Narcotics Cell of EMEA College of Arts and Science, Kondotty, in association with Operation Thoofan, organized an Anti Drug Awareness Class at the college seminar hall to educate students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of maintaining a drug-free lifestyle.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Riyad A.M., Principal of EMEA College, who emphasized the role of educational institutions in creating awareness and preventing substance abuse among youth. The session was led by Padmarajan B.K., Inspector of Police, Karipur Police Station, who served as the chief guest and resource person. He highlighted the growing challenges posed by narcotic substances and explained the legal, social, and health consequences of drug addiction.

The interactive session provided students with valuable insights into drug prevention, responsible decision-making, and the importance of community participation in combating the drug menace. Students actively participated in the discussion and raised questions regarding current anti-drug initiatives and preventive measures.

The programme concluded with a pledge by students to promote a healthy and drug-free society. Faculty members, NSS volunteers, and students attended the event in large numbers, making the awareness programme a meaningful and impactful initiative.
