PAIN AND PALLIATIVE TRAINING PROGRAM

The SIP and the College National Service Scheme program provides a palliative Training Program for selected volunteers under the auspices of Pain and Palliative Care Society of India. The training is intended to make the volunteers capable of rendering necessary solace to patients, apart from Medicare. The college NSS considers the training period as part of the compulsory social service activity. The NNPC (Neighborhood Net work in Palliative Care) awards certificates to the trained. Pain and Palliative Care Society is a demonstration project under the World Health Organization. The WHO has certified this as the first students volunteers Training Unit in the whole of Asia. The unit is run by an Advisory Board with the Principal as the chief Advisor and the NSS Program Officers as coordinators.
