Film Screening and Discussion Programme
February 18, 2026The PG Department of English, in association with the Film Club and Women Development Cell, successfully organized a Film Screening and Discussion on February 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the AVT Hall.
The programme featured the screening of the Malayalam film “Feminichi Fathima.” The event aimed to create awareness and encourage critical discussions on contemporary social issues, gender perspectives, and cultural narratives portrayed in cinema.
The screening witnessed active participation from students and faculty members. The film’s powerful storytelling and realistic portrayal of social themes deeply engaged the audience. Following the screening, an interactive discussion session was conducted where students shared their interpretations, reflections, and insights. The discussion highlighted themes of identity, empowerment, societal expectations, and gender dynamics.
