International Seminar on Youth Empowerment: Creativity, Well-being, and Life Skills
August 19, 2026The PG Department of Commerce, EMEA College of Arts & Science, Kondotty, successfully organised an International Seminar on “Youth Empowerment: Creativity, Well-being, and Life Skills” on Tuesday, 11 August 2026, at 1:30 PM at the Audio Visual Theatre, EMEA College of Arts & Science, Kondotty.
The international academic programme featured two distinguished resource persons, Dr. Rafael Arnal Rodrigo, Assistant Professor, Department of Music Didactics, University of Zaragoza, Spain, and Mr. Vicente Darder Higón, Teacher at IES Turis, Valencian Community, Spain, Social Educator and Specialist in School Mediation, Inclusion and Coexistence. Their valuable international perspectives and insights enriched the participants and provided meaningful perspectives on creativity, well-being, personal development and essential life skills for young people.
The programme was successfully conducted with the wholehearted support and encouragement of Prof. (Dr.) Riyad AM, Principal, EMEA College of Arts & Science. His immediate support, confidence and positive approach enabled the department to organise an international-level academic programme within a remarkably short period.
The successful conduct of the programme was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the entire organising team. Faseela Miss coordinated registration, Rafeeq Sir handled the programme schedule, while Faisal Sir took care of posters, office matters and overall coordination. Dr. Aneesath Miss and Dr. Amala Miss supported the reception, with Dr. Aneesath Miss also taking up the anchoring. Rashid Sir provided technical support, Munavvir Sir handled video and photography, and Balkees Miss and Nahas Sir coordinated student mobilisation.
The event stood as a testament to the department’s strong team spirit, commitment and collective responsibility. Particularly noteworthy was the department’s ability to organise an international academic programme in a highly cost-effective manner, making excellent use of available institutional resources without compromising the quality, relevance or academic value of the programme.
The PG Department of Commerce expresses its sincere gratitude to the Principal, international resource persons, faculty members, administrative and technical staff, coordinators, volunteers and students whose valuable contributions made the programme a success. The event once again demonstrated that effective teamwork, dedication and a positive approach can transform a timely initiative into a meaningful international academic experience.
